We like to meet the people we're going to work with. If we can't meet you face-to-face, we like to just get to know you a little on the phone. We take this time to get an understanding of who you are and what your business or organization is about. We also talk about your timeline and your budget for the project. All these factors help us determine how we approach the project and if we're a good fit for your project. If it's obvious that our services are a good fit for you, we make plans to get started.

Usually a meeting or phone call

This phase is all about you. In this phase, we dive deeper into learning as much as we can about your business or organization, your audience, and your goals for your website. We'll also provide lots of suggestions along the way. These details become the guidelines for designing and building the site. They also help us come up with a general idea of how long the rest of the process will take and what kind of costs we're looking at. Big Lux Design collects 50% of the estimated costs up front.

1-3 weeks depending on the size of the project

We work together with you to create the website that meets the requirements we laid out in the discovery phase. Sometimes this phase includes sketches, wireframes or detailed mockups of site designs. This step can also include low-detail functioning code that you can start clicking around on. When the design is starting to come together, we move on to the next phase. Sometimes your goals and requirements can change during this phase. If any of that affects the over-all timeline or cost, we discuss and agree upon those changes.

2-8 weeks, depending on complexity

In this phase, we begin or continue building out the design into the real thing. If you also use our Content Management services, this is where we implement it. We also take time to work out any bugs we find along the way.

2-10 weeks, depending on the size of the project

The project is complete and ready to go live and we have you sign off on the project. The remaining balance is usually due at the end of the project, unless we have discussed other payment options.
